FAQ: Facts and Questions about Camp Bliss

Q: When are you open?
A: We are open year round, our office hours are Monday- Friday 8-4:30 or by appointment only. Check In: 4:00 pm, Check Out: 10:00 am Quiet time: 10:00 pm–7:00 am.

Q: What is required upon check-in?
A: Your payment in full 30 days prior to check-in date, sign a liability waiver and vehicle registration form. The vehicle registration is required by law, 2018 Minnesota Statues 327.10 & 327.13, any person who violates this statue shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.

Q: Can I get an early check-in or late check-out?
A: You can always ask, it will depend on who else is coming in or out. We are happy to accommodate when possible, a fee may apply.

Q: Can guests have outside visitors for the day?
A: Yes, 1 or 2 guests as appropriate, but no large events or parties, as there is limited parking, renters not complying will be charged a $500 fine. All guests must register in the office.

Q: What is your pet policy?
A: Unfortunately, we do not allow pets. Exceptions are trained service animals. We can recommend nearby boarding facilities.

Q: What is your smoking policy?
A: There is no smoking allowed inside any of the buildings, smoking is allowed outside by smoking receptacles only. A $500 fine will apply.

Q: Can you have Fireworks?
A: No, use and display of fireworks are not allowed on any Camp Bliss property and this includes Sky/Chinese Lanterns. A $200 fine will apply.

Q: Do you have a sand beach?
A: There is a sand shore line on Third Lake. There is a huge sandbar where you can pull up your boat and swim and play. *Long Lake has 1,012 feet of Lake Frontage* From the Lodge to the water is 75 feet, from Bliss House to water 100 feet, Cabin is right on the water.

Q: Can I bring my own firewood?
A: No, the DNR will not allow because of bug/pest infestation

Q: Are Recreational Vehicles (ATV, Side by Sides, RV’s or Campers) allowed on the property?
A: No, however you can trailer them, but cannot be used on Camp Bliss property.

Q: Are trailers and motorcycles allowed on the resort?
A: Yes

Q: Do you provide bait for fishing? Fish cleaning station?
A: No we don’t provide bait but we do have fish cleaning areas.

Q: Do you have any discounts?
A: Veterans get 5% off with military ID.

Q: How far are each of the rentals from the main Lodge?
A: Lodge to Bliss House is 600 feet, Lodge to Cabin is 100 feet, Bliss House to Hanger is 130 feet, and Lodge to Hanger is 175 feet straight or if you take the road its 225 feet.

Q: At what age are children free?
A: Children (any age) are included in the max number of people allowed:

Property Limits:
LODGE: 23 people maximum.
BLISS HOUSE: Whole House: 18 people maximum.
CABIN: 4 people maximum.
GLAMPING CABINS: Ruff’n It 2 people maximum, The Glamper 2 people maximum, R&R 2 people maximum.

Q: Do you have Wi-Fi?
A: Yes we do in Lodge, Bliss House and Cabin

Q: What do you provide in your kitchen?
A: Refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker, toaster, pots and pans, dishes, glasses, silverware and utensils

Q: Do you provide cleaning supplies?
A: No, dish-soap is provided for dishwasher only, no other soap.

Q: What do you provide for linens/towels?
A: We provide bed linens only, you are required to bring your own pillows & blankets. You are required to provide your own bath, hand, and kitchen and beach towels.

Q: Are meals provided?
A: No, you provide your own meals.

Q: Are cribs/pack-n-plays available?
A: No

Q: Do any of the rentals have a hot tub or bathtub?
A: No hot tubs, the Bliss house has a master bath with a Jacuzzi tub.

Q: Do you have any hiking trails?
A: Yes! We have 48 acres on the property, and right out the front door of the Bliss House, you can walk a half mile in a loop. We are 2 miles from Paul Bunyan State Forrest. The Paul Bunyan Trail is 115 miles long, extending all the way from Crow Wing State Park to Lake Bemidji State Park.

Q: Do you have biking trails?
A: You can bike Heartland Trail, it’s a 49 mile paved multiple-use trail between Park Rapids and Cass Lake. And just down the road we have the Chippewa National Forest with many biking options.

Q: Is there a resort fee?
A: No

Q: How old do I have to be to make a reservation?
A: 21 years of age.

Q: Do you have gift cards available for purchase?
A: We have gift certificates! (We make them up as requested)

Q: How close is the nearest grocery store and liquor store in Walker?
A: The following are approximately 3 miles away: Super One is the main grocery store, The Green Scene is also a grocery store, and Walker Bay Spirits. All are relatively close to each other.

Q: Do the grills come prepared with charcoal?
A: No, we do provide gas grills filled with propane at the Lodge, Bliss House & Cabin. Glamping Cabins have charcoal grills and you need to bring your own charcoal.

Q: Are there wheelchairs available for use?
A: No

Q: Are there adjoining rooms?
A: No

Q: Do you have a safe/locker for valuables?
A: No

Q: Can we bring our own boat/jet-skis?
A: Yes

Q: Can I put a tent on the property?
A: No

Q: What do you have for medical supplies on the property?
A: First Aid Kits

Q: Do we have electrical outlets outside for truck/car plug-ins?
A: Yes, the Lodge has outlets on either side of the basement door. Bliss House has exterior outlets on both sides of the garage door.

A: We offer Fishing, Camp fires, Bird Watching, Canoes, Kayaks, Paddle Boards, Ladder Golf, Corn Hole Game, and Basketball.
