January 10-12, 2024

Join us for a weekend Getaway of fun, fishing, and camaraderie! It’s our 3^rd Annual Guided Ice Fishing Tournament on Leech Lake, Minnesota’s third largest lake in Walker, MN.  This event, weather permitting, will take place on Thursday, January 11^th, from 8:00-5:00 pm. 

This is a guided fishing tournament on Leech Lake.  We will provide fish houses, bait, and all meals!  All participants must be a Veteran and registered through Camp Bliss.  There are 21 available spots for veterans that are first-come-first serve basis, we will also have a waiting list. Please commit fully to attending your retreat, if you do not show up, that is a Veteran’s spot that you have eliminated. We have limited fishing supplies, so please bring your favorite fishing rod or tip-up pole, if you do not have one, we will supply one.

$500 in prize money will be awarded!  Wednesday night check-in, Thursday fishing, awards and bonfire and Friday breakfast in our beautiful Lodge setting on three lakes!

All our Getaways & Retreats are alcohol free. 

**We will not be charging a registration fee for Veteran Getaways for the next two years, as we have secured funding from the MDVA. You may come up to two retreats per year! **

January 19-21, 2024

Join us for a fun weekend of fishing (weather permitting) and friendship! Our goal is to open up the great outdoors for people through the world of fishing!  This retreat welcomes anyone with any type of disability. 

The total cost for the weekend is $75, if you bring your own PCA, there is an additional charge of $50, and the PCA will need to register separately for this retreat.

This retreat includes lodging, all meals, beverages, class materials and fishing supplies.

What to bring: weather appropriate clothing, medications, blanket, pillow, towels, personal water bottle and anything else you will need for the weekend. You must have your fishing license to fish.

Transportation to and from Camp Bliss is offered from Independent Lifestyles, Inc. in Sauk Rapids for an additional charge of $20. Otherwise, you are responsible for your own transportation.

February 2-4, 2024

Marines and sons will be welcomed into the serene and supportive setting of Camp Bliss!

Come and learn new ways to socialize, improve your skills, and learn how to take great care of yourself!  This retreat welcomes anyone with any type of disability.

Veterans welcome to our annual Turkey Hunt! All hunters are required to have a valid Minnesota turkey license and will be partnered with a volunteer caller. You will stay at Camp Bliss where all your lodging and meals are provided. We bring families together to enjoy quality time connecting and bonding with other military families who have gone through the same experiences.  

Families will spend time enjoying a variety of fun and exciting activities and to have the opportunity to experience a place specifically designated to them! You will become part of a community of military families and make memories that last a lifetime!

There are 20 total available spots for veterans and families (children 10-18 years old only) that are on a first-come-first serve basis, we will have a waiting list.
